I am a Marketing Co-ordinator at Clarilis and have been here since July 2022.
I am responsible for setting up and monitoring the processes for campaigns and events, from webinars to conferences. As well as this, I create and write some social media posts (you may have seen a few on our LinkedIn page, which you should follow to keep up-to-date with all the exciting things we’re doing) and monitor the analytics which come from this and other campaigns and events we host.
The people at Clarilis are great; they’re very friendly and supportive. Everyone wants to do and be the best in the market and help others around them achieve this too. Furthermore, working in the Marketing team has allowed me to work on various projects with other departments and that has been a great way for me to get to know the team here at Clarilis.
Growing up I always wanted to be a palaeontologist because I loved dinosaurs and I was so fascinated by how such massive creatures used to walk on the same ground I did. It’s amazing that wherever you’re standing, a dinosaur stood in that very spot at one point. However, when I was going through GCSE and A-Level my interests were taken over by psychology and learning how advertisements and marketing campaigns can have such a huge impact on the thoughts and feelings of customers and people watching. That’s why I wanted to go into Marketing.
I’ve always wanted to time travel, but I don’t believe that is possible just yet. So instead, I’ve always wanted to try learning German because I really liked it in school but wasn’t able to take it for GCSE as there were other subjects I picked over it so I could go into the career I wanted at the time. I hope to get back into it and gain some conversational skills for when I go on holiday later this year.
I had a lot of trouble answering this question because there are so many ways to answer it. Do I pick things that are practical, entertaining or just to make it easier to pass the time? So, with that in mind:
